Student Pilot Forced to Land Alone After Instructor Falls from Aircraft
A 22-year-old student pilot in Argentina was forced to land alone after his flight instructor fell from a Cessna 150 during a training flight.
The incident occurred near Toledo in Córdoba province. Flight instructor Leandro Bertazzo allegedly unfastened his seatbelt, opened the door, and exited the aircraft during the flight. His body was found in a field approximately 20 minutes later.
Despite being left alone in the aircraft and experiencing shock, the student pilot managed to keep control of the plane and landed safely at Coronel Olmedo Airport.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. At this stage, a possible technical issue involving the door or restraint systems is also being examined.
